The main factors
| Factor | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Size and depth | More panels, a bigger liner, bigger equipment |
| Skimmer or overflow | Overflow needs a gutter, grating and tank |
| Ground | Rock and water need more work |
| Access | Small machines, digging by hand, removing soil |
| Liner | Plain, textured or patterned |
| Equipment | Salt, heating, lights, robot, automation |
| Surround | Coping, decking, paving |
| Location | Transport and crew accommodation on islands |
Why we don't give 'from' prices
A "from" price usually means the simplest pool, on the easiest plot, with none of what you would actually want. Then the extras begin. We prefer to see the space and give you one price that holds, written item by item.
Send a photo of your garden on WhatsApp. The technician usually answers the same day.
How to keep costs in check
- Choose the size you will use, not the largest that fits. See courtyard pool.
- Skimmer instead of overflow where the view doesn't call for it.
- A shallower pool: less digging, less water, less heating.
- Equipment that can be added later (e.g. heating), with the connections ready now.
Running costs
Electricity for the pump, water for evaporation, a few chemicals. With a variable-speed pump, salt and a cover the season's costs stay reasonable. See plant room.
