What to watch
pH tends to rise in salt pools, so it needs checking or automatic dosing. The cell is cleaned of scale once or twice a year. And metal things around the pool, such as furniture, appreciate a rinse with fresh water now and then.

Is it fine with a liner?
Yes. Salt doesn't affect the liner, and the steady chemistry of salt chlorination helps it keep its colour. The steel panels are behind the liner and never touch the water.
When you don't need it
In very small pools used lightly, a simple automatic chlorine feeder may be enough. We discuss it at the site visit.
