Two depths, a gentle change
The floor slopes gently from shallow to deep, not with a sudden step. Children know how far they can go and adults have room to swim. A darker band in the liner or a row of lights can mark where the depth changes.
Steps for everyone
Wide steps across the full width are the favourite spot in a family pool: little ones play, parents sit waist-deep. For steps we order a liner with a non-slip texture. See steps and benches.

With salt chlorination the chlorine is made slowly from the water itself, in a steady amount. Eyes sting less, skin dries out less, and you don't store chemicals in a house with children.
