What we look at
- Position: sun, wind, trees, view, distance from the house and boundaries.
- Ground: soil, rock, old fill, water that collects when it rains.
- Access: where the digger gets in, where the soil goes, where the truck stops.
- Services: electrical panel, water supply, a drain point for backwash.
- Plant room: where it goes so it is close and quiet.
What to have ready
If you have a topographic survey or house drawings, keep them handy. Think about who will use the pool and whether you want warm water, salt, lights. And if you have photos you like, show us: they say more than words.
